My name is Kyra Strating and I am a nineteen-year-old sophomore at Colorado Christian University. I am absoletly in love with my Savior Jesus Christ and I love serving him! He is the biggest part of my life. I have my own share of faults and disappointments but in my weaknesses God reveals himself to me. I love being out in God's glorious creation (I especially love mountains, water, and the sky) because through it I see how much He loves me. I feel God wants to work at an orphanage when I grow up and that is one of the reasons I want to go on this trip. Here are just some random things about me. Like I said my name is Kyra. It is pronounced the same as Keira or Kira, so my name is often mispronounced and spelled wrong. I do not mind if my name is pronounced wrong, I mean it happens, but I hate when it is spelled wrong! My name is with a "Y" and I think it is ugly if my name is with an "i" (sorry if anyone who reads this is named "Kira"). I am completely obsessed with the color blue. I asked God one day what His favorite color was, hoping that he would say blue. He didn't he told me he made so many different colors, especially in Heaven, so he can't pick; I was kind of disappointed but I have never asked God his favorite color since. I enjoy doing things that little children enjoy doing such as playing on playgrounds and climbing trees, I also think that poop and farting is really funny. I am really big people person and I love being around children but I also value having time alone. Although I love having fun and doing crazy things I really love getting to know people and listening to them, hearing their stories and what they have to say. I love getting to see people's hearts and their love for Jesus.
