Hello everyone! My name is Alison Bitzer, but feel free to call me Ali. I’m 18 years old and live in Barkhamsted, Connecticut with my younger sister Carly, 13, and my dad. For the past year I’ve been attending Gordon Collge as a history and international development double major. While at college I volunteered with Somalian-Bantu refugees and sang in the choir. Some other things that I love are playing lacrosse and volleyball, hiking, kayaking, curling up with a good book and taking pictures. I also love to write and someday hope to publish a book. I can drive a standard and love driving through town in my little old car nammed Willis. My family and I are incredibly close. My sister and I can often be found talking late into the night or blasting the radio, yes even to Hannah Montana. I love living with them in such a small town. It has been great to see moose trampling through our yard and the frequent bears, sights which always cause much excitement in our household. Otherwise I’d say I’m a fairly driven and motivated person, but can easily let my hair down and do something spontaneous. I am so excited about this trip and cannot wait to experience and see all that God has in store! See you all soon!

is there a story behind “Willis” ?
There is a story behind Willis. I named my car Willis because he is kind of like an old, trustworthy grandfather. He is a 94 Toyota Corolla which just made him seem older so that got me thinking about names that people in my grandparents generation have. The name Willis came to mind and thats what I went with. I’ve had him for over two years now and it has stuck. Kind of a lame story, but I love the name and the car just the same.
